The Mexico City Attorney General's Office reported the arrest of 18 people after clashes during the 'Generation Z' march. Prosecutor Bertha Alcalde announced investigations for attempted homicide and injuries.

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) reported that 18 people were arrested and remain under investigation for crimes such as attempted homicide, robbery, resistance to authorities, and injuries following clashes during the 'Generation Z' march last Saturday, November 15th, in the capital's Zócalo square.

At a press conference, Attorney Bertha María Alcalde Luján specified that various investigation files have been initiated for the events that occurred during this mobilization, in which 84 police officers and four protesters were attacked, as well as damage to a business and a vehicle.

"Various investigation files have been opened for crimes of injury, robbery, and property damage, as well as referrals made by elements of the Citizen Security Secretariat," she stated.

The teenager was referred to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Adolescent Justice.

"The prosecutor's office has acted and will continue to act with transparency, guaranteeing the rights of all people involved and strengthening inter-institutional coordination to clarify the facts," affirmed the head of the agency.

Finally, Alcalde reported that to date, the FGJCDMX has received complaints of injuries from 84 police officers and four citizens, while the analysis of videos to identify other possible perpetrators continues.
